Check out the way they have their calendar on the right. The code is open source and if someone has the know-how to convert it for use along with PAL, I would be more than happy to paypal something to that person.

However IMOHO Max's calendar hack is better for UBBTREADS/IIP. I use Dave's eventspal.php to pull current events data to the index page. Works like a charm.

That is a nice calendar. The only thing I don't like about this calendar is that for a front page addon the dhtml popups add to much baggage (dependant on the number of events listed that is as there was only 2 at the time of visiting). The page is 149k in size with an estimated 42 seconds to download at 28.8k. (had to save it to my desktop and open it with dreamweaver to check otherwise size was unavailable)

My intentions with IIP are to try keeping a balance of features/size/speed and it's not an easy task.

(on a side note, I have had a few ideas for the use of dhtml also but have gone back and forth over using them because of the baggage they would create too... lol)
